The pigmented Tarocco, type of orange from Francofonte, known as red orange of Sicily, is among the most valuable in the world, for his thin  peel and his red pulp full of flavonoids that gives it besides the characteristic bloody colour, even lot of nutrients and antioxidants. The pigments present in the orange give to the pulp a singular flavour of strawberry due to a particular microclimate of the francofonte hills and from the Sicilian sun that helps the diffusion of the flavonoids from the pulp to the peel where the solar rays hit. Our tarocco is as much tasty as delicate and as such it needs to be handle with care in the harvesting and in the processing steps. It is our intention to safeguard with commitment this excellent product , small artwork from the land of Sicily, and to enhance all the from it you can produce.

Gourmet marmalades with orange blossom honey, spices and classic

Marmalade is exclusively exaltation of Sicilian oranges, land rich of secrets that are passed on from generation till our days with care art and dedication, to keep intact their originality. The marmalades are homemade with  organic red oranges zest and pulp from Sicily, as from our ancient family recipes and thickened only with natural ingredients without adding neither pectin or water. Slightly sweetened exclusively with orange blossom honey and sugar cane. The red color of the oranges pulp by cooking changes in different gradation of brown, from the lightest to the darkest due to the different pigments concentration of each single orange used for making the marmalade. Available in 100ml jars, an  ideal amount to assure the consumption within a time that preserve their organoleptic qualities.

We have made  besides the classic flavour, other 4 different variation with spices and ingredients that will enhance the taste of the orange and also will make a pleasant dessert or a pairing with other dishes of our traditions. The packaging comes with 6 jars of 100ml. The names given to each one are a tribute to our ancestors and at the same time a representation of the ingredients. Don Peppe classic flavour; Donna Fermina  sweet and spiced taste with Sicilian almonds, cinnamon and cloves; Benedettina, ancient recipe of the  Benedictine monks that to sweeten their pastries would use sultan raisins and pine nuts; Orient flavours, with ginger spice, brought to Sicily from the Arabic’s culture; Don Giovanni , from the bitter oranges that when in the marmalade acquires a unique a particular taste.
